Tuesday March 15

We began today at the Greater Greenville Housing and Revitalization Association. We went to a neighborhood and picked up trash, raked leaves, moved old tires, mattresses, and even TVs out of the area. We then planted roses and various other types of bushes and flowers around the neighborhood and made it look very pretty. Throughout our time cleaning up this area, the local news came and videoed, a local newspaper photographer came to take pictures, and other people involved in the community came to show their appreciation. We were on the 5, 6, and 10 o clock news (see video below). It was great to see how much the people of Greenville appreciate our work. We then went back to WWISCAA where we had worked yesterday. Today we painted three outside staircases along with other rooms in the emergency shelter. Once we got back to the fire station, we had a great time playing volleyball and basketball with the firefighters. They are thankful for our work to the community and are also a blast to hang out with! Today was a great day and we are so excited for what tomorrow brings.
